How Our Offshore Manufacturing Process Works | Dragon Metal

Choosing an offshore manufacturing partner involves more than comparing prices. You need to understand how your project will be managed, how quality will be monitored, and what happens between sending your drawings and receiving your finished products.

At Dragon Metal Manufacturing, we follow a structured process designed to give our customers greater visibility throughout their manufacturing projects.

If you’re considering offshore manufacturing in China or Vietnam, our short video below explains how the Dragon Metal process works from your initial enquiry through to production, quality assurance, shipping and ongoing support.

What to Expect When Working With Dragon Metal

Every manufacturing project is different. Materials, tolerances, production methods, quantities, finishes and quality requirements can all vary significantly.

That’s why our process starts with understanding your project and its technical requirements.

Where confidentiality is required, we’re happy to sign an NDA before reviewing sensitive project information. Customers can then provide their technical drawings, 3D CAD files, BOM and other relevant specifications for quotation.

Our team works with the appropriate manufacturing partners to review the project requirements and prepare a detailed quotation covering pricing, expected lead times and relevant factory remarks.

Quality Throughout the Manufacturing Process

Quality assurance is an important part of how we manage offshore production.

Our QA team works with the factory throughout production, with inspections conducted at various stages depending on the requirements of the project.

Before an order is released for shipment, a final inspection is completed and a QA report is provided to the customer for approval. This gives customers an opportunity to review the inspection results before their shipment is released.

Support Beyond Production

Our involvement doesn’t necessarily end when production is complete.

Dragon Metal can assist with coordinating shipment arrangements with the customer’s nominated freight forwarder, providing documentation and support when needed.

Once your products arrive, our team also remains available to assist with questions, feedback and to discuss future production requirements.
